Looking Back: Metal Gear Solid (1998)

If there was any game I could name that truly sent my imagination into the deepest emotional depths, whilst complimenting that with challenging, addictive gameplay and blistering narrative, that game would be Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation 1.

Even the game cartridge sparkled with promise. I mean, it looked like it was made out of crystal... how cool is that? Of course, now I'm aware it isn't crystal but don't go telling that to an eight year old me.
