To put it bluntly, FIFA is without a doubt the single most frustrating game I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. And yes, I do mean pleasure. As, despite all the frustration the experience brings, for all the times I’ve proclaimed not only to myself but to others that I’m “done with this stupid game”, I keep coming back to it.
You know how it is. Sometimes a studio, like Telltale or Gearbox, only make one kind of game. And while they become masters of their craft, sometimes you wish, with all their potential, they’d just try something new for once. Other companies try their hand at a fair spread of genres, but there’s always one or two they’ve yet to touch on that they could display real potential in. This is our list of 10 developers we’d like to see try new genres, and the genres we’d like to see them try.

What a time to be alive. Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will have not only Sonic and Mega Man, but Pac Man too. We’re slowly moving Smash away from being a Nintendo brawler and right out turning it into an unabashed video game industry mash up. Well, we say that wouldn’t be such a bad thing. To that end, here are a few third party characters that we think would go great in Smash Bros. Better than Solid Snake did, at any rate.
